The Durham Foundation partnered with the Montgomery County Community Foundation to create a community pass-through fund for childcare. After the state stopped providing new childcare vouchers in 2025, many working parents lost the much-needed financial support for childcare. The Durham Foundation Community Childcare Assistance Pass-Through fund will go directly to the non-profit day care and early learning centers in Montgomery County to help provide assistance to working parents.
Join us for an elegant afternoon of croquet, refreshments, and fun on the lawn of Durham Home. Your support will help assist working parents in the community with the cost of nonprofit, licensed, childcare.
The Durham Foundation Associate Board Member, Caryn Heisel, was recently honored by her fellow Hoosier Heartland State Bank employees, as first runner up of the bank’s 2025 Vision Award to go to the nonprofit of her choice. Caryn directed her $5,000 award to the The Durham Foundation Community Childcare Assistance Pass Through Fund.
We are so grateful to Caryn and to HHSB for their generous donation that advances the fund's growth to help working parents with the costs of quality early learning childcare.
